Counseling emphasizes growth, wellness, empowerment, and development for clients experiencing problems and seeking support. As a licensed mental health professional counselor, I work with adults in Southwestern Virginia to help them achieve their mental health goals using appropriate diagnoses, assessments, and counseling theories and techniques. I work for Cumberland Mountain Community Services Board in Tazewell, VA, where I help my clients increase their wellness and resilience to regain control of their lives. 

I have completed additional training in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) and DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), and I utilize client-centered, solution-focused therapy.
